This Privacy Policy describes how Lex Oleksiienko ("we", "us", "Lex"), operating under the trade name "European Window Guy" in association with Permanent Windows Solutions, collects, uses, and protects personal information you provide through europeanwindowguy.ca and related communications. We comply with the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. What information we collect

When you fill out a form on this site, we collect:

• Your email address (required to send the requested PDF guide or audit confirmation)
• Optional: name, phone number, address, and project details if you provide them
• Marketing consent preference (separate, opt-in checkbox)
• Technical data: browser type, IP address, and pages visited (via standard web server logs and Google Analytics, if enabled)

2. Purposes of use

We use your information solely for the following purposes:

• To deliver the resources you request (Calgary Window Buyer's Guide PDF, home audit booking, quote)
• To respond to your inquiries about window installation
• To send educational emails about European windows in Calgary, only if you explicitly opt in via the marketing consent checkbox
• To coordinate any installation or quote with Permanent Windows Solutions (the installation company)

3. Who we share with

• Permanent Windows Solutions — when you request a quote, audit, or installation, we share your contact details and project information with Permanent Windows Solutions to fulfill the request. Permanent Windows Solutions handles all installation contracts and customer transactions.
• Service providers — we use email-sending service (Resend) and form-handling service (Formspree or similar) under data processing agreements that require equivalent privacy protection.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

4. Consent for commercial electronic messages (CASL)

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Marketing emails are sent only with your explicit, opt-in consent (separate checkbox at the time you submit the form). Every commercial email includes:

• Our identification (Lex Oleksiienko, European Window Guy, in association with Permanent Windows Solutions)
• Our mailing address and contact information
• A one-click unsubscribe link (processed within 10 business days)

You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by emailing lex@permasol.ca.

5. Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary for the purposes above. If you do not engage further (no quote, no further inquiry) within 24 months, we will delete your information. You may request deletion at any time.

6. Security safeguards

We use industry-standard security: encrypted transmission (HTTPS), secure third-party providers (Resend, Formspree), and limited access to data. We do not store payment information on our website.

7. Your rights — access, correction, complaint

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of any inaccuracies
• Request deletion of your information (subject to limited legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent at any time
